The mission of the Awbrey Glen Golf Club (AGGC) Men's Golf Clommittee as stated in its Charter states is to provide the best possible shared golf experience in Central Oregon for men who are members of AGGC.
TEE iT FORWARD
The motivations to have our membership play forward as much is appropriate for individual and collective play include: 1) improving pace of play for individual players and the club in general; 2) increasing individual enjoyment of play; 3) enhancing participation by less-than-avid golfers; 4) increasing club membership; and 5) maintaining a competitive edge with other clubs.
A guide for tee selection on our course appears on page 20 of the Men's Handbook. Each player should inform the Golf Shop of their Preferred Tee box (Gold/White, White or Yellow) if they have not already done so. For the weekly events and tournaments, the playerís course handicap will be adjusted according to our course handicap, tee box played, and the playerís index. Subsequent switches to a different Preferred Tee can be accommodated, but changes should be kept to a minimum. More on this topic appears on pages 7-8 of the updated version of the Handbook version posted above on this site.
