Awbrey Glen Receives Oregon Golf Club of the Year Award From the Oregon Golf Association Awbrey Glen Golf Club today announced the receipt of the 2003 Oregon Golf Club Association's (OGA) Club of the Year Award. This annual award recognizes an OGA Member Club for outstanding contributions to the game of the golf, the community or the Oregon Golf Association during the prior year. The award was presented to Mark Amberson, general manager of the Awbrey Glen Golf Club , who accepted the award on behalf of the Club's members and staff at the OGA Annual Meeting held Friday, March 12 at the Waverley Country Club in Portland, Oregon. The inaugural awards were announced in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the OGA and the Centennial Celebration of the Oregon Amateur. "Awbrey Glen Golf Club has been unwavering in its strong support of the OGA since its inception," said OGA President Scott Baines. "They hosted the 2003 State Junior Championships with an unparalleled number of volunteers to ensure the event's success. Additionally, Awbrey Glen is an active contributor to the Central Oregon Junior Golf Association." Awbrey Glen Golf Club was chosen to receive the OGA Club of the Year award for its outstanding contributions to the game of golf, the community and the OGA during the prior year (2003).
